WHY IS “AAJTAK” DIVERTING THE NATION WITH TWO-MONTH-STALE NEWS AS IF CHINA’S INTRUSION IS RECENT??? - 2nd September 2009
Aajtak, the award-winning channel, supposed to be the best… but what surprises is when two-month-old stale happening is being shown as the latest happening incident??? Is government diverting the nation’s DROUGHT & FLOOD situations by asking Aajtak to highlight dangers from China’s intrusion??? Instead of covering the recent floods in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal (so far it has not been shown on the channel even though news agencies PTI and ANI had reported about the flood on 22nd August… DD News for the first to cover (just for 6 seconds), BBC covered it for more than a minute and two other Indian channels did cover but never highlighted the plight of the villagers unlike they highlight Shahrukh-Salman Khan dushmani endlessly for 24x7)… and drought situation in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Maharastra…
Why the satellite channels kept quiet when two Chinese helicopters hovered around Indian territories on 21st June 2009??? Why the news didn’t make it on the national television channels then in June? Why the government didn’t highlight such a serious issue in June, why now, when the State Assembly Polls are in offing? Why suddenly Aajtak is continuously showing these incidents as the recent ones, when more than 2 months have passed? Were the channel’s editors sleeping like our PM, HEALTH MINISTER, AGRICULTURE MINISTER and the ruling government? Or is it a paid exercise of the government to divert nation’s attention towards China’s attack??? While Indian army general is being shown saying that such things happen all the time, even Indian helicopters do cross international borders unknowingly…
Two-month old news is being passed as the latest development is really a serious issue… And a channel like Aajtak should not stoop so low to garner TRP or else support the UPA government to build up its image for the State Assembly Polls… Wake up Aajtak… You should inform about the various latest development to the nation and not mislead them with STALE NEWS…
